Rhapsody of Fire vuelve, tras firmar un contrato con Nuclear Blast, sello discográfico de grupos como Nightwish y, según la prensa especializada, mejor que nunca.

The frozen tears of angels es el octavo álbum de estudio de la banda italiana, pionera de un género que se ha bautizado como Film Store Metal y que muchos aún engloban en el Power Metal.

Rhapsody of fire no se ha olvidado de ese metal sinfónico que siempre ha llevado por bandera. Los arreglos sinfónicos son, sin duda, su sello de identidad y estarán presentes en este nuevo disco. De momento, se ha dicho de ellos que es su mejor disco desde Power of the Dragonflame o Symphony of Enchanted Lands I. Encuadrado dentro de la "New Saga" que comenzó con The Dark Secret en 2006 y que continúa la pentalogía épica que finalizó en Power of the Dragonflame, los periodistas especializados han llegado a preguntarse si será posible que alguna vez puedan superar este álbum. Una atmósfera épica increíble, unas composiciones brillantes. Demuestran, una vez más, que el metal es mucho más que un gran bajo y unas voces estridentes.
